Is this your first outdoor show?
Nadav: Yeah, this is our first outdoor show and our first day time show.

What do you think is the big difference?
Nadav: The audience can actually see you perform.

That’s something I was really interested in: how all these bands looked in the day light? There is no hiding is there?
John: We were trying too.
Nadav: I like being in the sun light. It made me sweat ten times as more than usual. When I looked around at the other members of the band they seemed to be sweating much more than me.

Sean, the keyboardist was the most sweaty.
Nadav: Well, he might have just dumped water on himself to make him look more sweaty.
John: Everything we do is just for an effect.

How do you feel about the amphitheater?
Nadav: It’s been really fun, I wish it were less humid so people could be more inclined to get up.
John: I wish it was a little bit smaller. It’s like a little too cavernous. And in the standing area, nobody seems to go there except photographers.

Why did you guys decide to set up in the standing area instead of the stage?
John: Don’t ask me, I don't make any decisions.
Nadav: Mostly for those reasons, the stage was too cavernous and we like being a little bit closer to everybody. I don't think we’ve ever played on a stage that high.
John: Set up time is faster too.
[Aa had their instruments set up before any bands began to play]
Nadav: That helped to keep with the schedule. We usually take a long time to set up considering how long we play for.

You gonna come to the other shows?
Nadav: Yeah, there was some other bands I like. Most events outdoor are pretty fun.
John: Nah- I don’t think so.
Nadav: Yeah, you don't think so? Why?
John: I don't know - I just hate seeing music performed outside.

So your not a Summer Stage fan? [to John]
John: It’s so weird to see band play outside.
Nadav: Can you imagine if we played at Summer Stage, you'd have to wait in line to see us play. [laughs]

You’ve never had a guitarist?
Nadav: Yeah we actually did, but we never played out with them.

How did that sound?
John: awkward. It was like and awkward conversation.
Nadav: Obviously it added a lot but we try to have a lot of other people play with us as much as possible. The first time we played at the knitting factory we had six people, three of them had never played with us before. We try to get as much friends involved as much as possible.
John: We try to mask any shortcomings in the band.
Nadav: -with extra noise.
John: When ever we feel it’s start getting boring, were like quick, alright another person.

So if you guys weren’t here, it would it still be Aa? and does it matter?
John: We’re like in the Fight Club, we have all these different cells. We would just have to give them the word. There’s Bb, Cc, Dd, etc..
Nadav: In other words -if it’s us or our grandmothers it’ll still be Aa.
John: We just save the recipe.
